Why Does That One Minute Kill Me

I did my running today. My 4:1 (running for 4 minutes, then walking for one minute and I do this until I hit 20 minutes) killed me but that was because I ran my first quarter mile for time and about died! I just can't seem to make myself continue past 2o minutes like I use to when I was doing 3:1. They say to go a week and then increase and I think I am going to go a week and a half until I feel more comfortable with my body.

I really want to run a mile for time but know if I do that I won't be able to run much after that so I am discourage from doing so. I know tomorrow would be a good day to do so but I really am looking forward to running on that empty campus.

So yesterday I picked up this book on how to target fat zones and well I hope that works but most importantly it told me the importance of stretching. I am going to begin stretching 3 times a day. I am really going to target every muscle though, not just my legs. Perhaps I can do that chinese splits I remember in my youth.

I am going to research on how to gain some muscle.
